MEET ASHER, THE

Award-Winning Comedian & Screenwriter

Asher O’Briant is a loud and proud advocate for inclusive comedy. His award-winning writing and standup have been heard from NYC, to Pittsburgh Pride, all the way to Alaska’s B4UDie Festival! Asher’s honored to perform on shows with talented stars such as Sam Jay, Robbie Hoffman, Billy Porter, and many more. Along with a rigorous performance schedule, Asher’s coordinated social media branding presences for comedians, venues, and even art museums! He teaches comedy writing for sketch, stand-up, & producing at the downtown Pittsburgh Arcade Comedy Theater, the Steel City Arts Foundation, & gratis classes at the QMNTY Center. Asher’s branched into mixed-media with comedy, utilizing tools such as drag and visual mediums. While his art might not always look the same, his welcoming message is always clear: Asher lives at the intersection of art and activism, and his door is always open!
